There is an innate curiosity and spirit of adventure in everyone. This is particularly true for children and young people
The search for knowledge through challenging situations, meets this deep yearning in the young, by allowing them to use their creativity and imagination. Adventures do not stifle curiosity; rather, they prod the mind to explore innovative solutions in challenging situations… thus, life becomes more exciting, productive and above all, fulfilling.
Our location is a beautiful and natural wild environment and a perfect place to unwind and practice fundamental outdoor skills.

Have your birthday party day in the woods with your family and friends. Learn some fundamental outdoor skills such as shelter building and the importance of sourcing, harvesting water and making it safe to drink. We will also cover the principles of Leave no Trace. There is a beautiful loop walk around the site which will bring you through the forest and along by the river and up to our tree tent and hammock camping area. This spot was used to film scenes from the popular TV series Vikings, who left behind some beautiful tree carvings.
We went camping with Tipi Adventures and had a brilliant time. The tents were lovely and big and 5 of us had lots of room in them. Even though it was cold, the campfire with marshmallows and hot chocolate kept us toasty. We learned though that we need to bring more warm clothes for the next time! We had lots of time to walk through the mud and our wellies kept our feet nice and dry. The area was beautiful and it was great to walk along the river. We had so much fun that we didn't even miss our mobile phones! Ed and Ian were so friendly we had a great laugh with them. Philip and Michael showed us how to build campfires and make some yummy food on the campfire. I particularly enjoyed the hobo stew and mars bar bananas. We can't wait to do it again but next time hopefully it won't rain!
