Kind words
from our guests...

Amazing experience! Back to nature, recharge, disconnect, great food, great company! Ed just goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, he makes a mean beef bourguinon and a great strong coffee in the morning! You will forget about the hustle and bustle of every day life and no matter the weather , the forest recharges you ! The trail walk along the river and through the woods is also a highlight of the place.

A truly memorable experience. We did a corporate offsite where we were taught bush skills through the day and then an amazing bonding experience in the evening around the fire with fantastic food. Ed is a fantastic, passionate host. Thank you for a great event!

Brilliant experience. Very interesting and entertaining. Loads to learn, do and experience. And also... Those guys are very passionate about what they are doing. I enjoyed every second! Highly recommend to everyone!

We just spent one night in one of Ed's tipis for our time wild camping as a family, and we loved every minute of it, especially cooking over the campfire! This is a true gem and a place we'll go back to as soon as we can. Ed couldn't be more passionate and knowledgeable and he made us feel very welcome indeed. This early November Sunday treated us to some beautiful autumn sunshine, and walking along the stunning river was one of the highlights of the weekend. Beautiful, beautiful place! Just go and check it out for yourself.

Me and my family, 2 adults and 4 kids of 9, 7, 5 and 2 years old, booked 2 adventures at tipi adventures. One for accommodation in Westport and one to have a wilderness experience. Both where great and exactly what we hoped for. Comfort, excitement and no stress at all!

My husband recently purchased a Carinthia Defence 4 sleeping bag (200 cms) from Ed at Tipi Adventures. Ed was very easy to deal with and kept us up to date on the progress with the order. Initial impressions of the sleeping bag are of a well designed, high quality product. The fabric materials seem durable yet feel comfortable. The 2 way zip is smooth and easy to operate from either inside or outside. The main intention is to use the bag next February during a course in Northern Norway requiring sleeping out in tents and/or snow holes. For this a liner bag will be used along with the Defence 4 which is roomy enough without being too big. The central zip location will hopefully make the bag easier to use and also permit sitting up while keeping the lower half of the body enclosed. Being a military grade sleeping bag it should stick the pace but guess we'll see how it all works in reality in sub-arctic conditions ! For now... many thanks to Ed!

We had a wonderful experience with Tipi Adventures. Ed and his team gave us just the right amount of help and enthusiastic guidance, and now our kids (and Ziggy the dog) are all dedicated widerness freaks! The site in Wicklow is just beautiful, and we look forward to more Tipi Adventures around the country.

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful day at these grounds. To appreciate the beauty of the landscape, we took the opportunity to go for a nice stroll around the woodlands as well as relaxed by the river which flows alongside it. The Tipi was very sturdy, spacious, dry and clean and the mattresses were of a very high quality. The outdoor furniture by our tent (mostly logs) as well as the numerous lanterns were also satisfactory. Our small group spent many contented hours sitting by the fire chatting, laughing, eating, drinking, and dancing! It was truly a wonderful experience. A shout out to Ed and Nick, who were both very welcoming, friendly and helpful :) . I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the not so distant future!

Our Scout Group 1st Meath Dunboyne purchased a 5metre diameter Tipi tent from Tipi Adventures Ireland. This tent was delivered to us and was put up at our Den at the start of third week of November. Because we are embarking on a programme to replace our aging tents we made a decision to leave this tent up so that all our members could see and inspect this tent over a period of time. We also wanted to "road test "the tent over time. Then on the 3rd of December storm Desmond struck, we left the tent pitched to see how it would behave under stressful weather conditions. The tent was left unattended day and night except for a daily inspection by myself to retighten any guys that had worked loose and to reset pegs that had pulled out of the ground due to the intensity of the wind gusts. Finally we took the tent down December 6th two days before the end of the storm. The tipi sustained no damage to the canvas or to the single centre pole, the only action we need to take is to replace five guy lines that frayed where they make contact with the metal pegs. Under the circumstances this is small stuff. Our tent was subjected to extreme conditions in this time. The tent stood firm and not a drop of water entered despite the fact that it was subjected to incessant driving rain. [This was evident because the ground sheet remained dry]. We are very happy with our tipi and hope to purchase more once our finances allow!

Massive thanks to Ed and his team on a highly successful trip to Tipi Adventures. The boys were placed in an environment where they could learn to respect themselves and their surroundings.  Excellent food and plenty of craic around the firepits.  A great opportunity to have time in nature.
